  • Hebrew on display 📜

Students got a glimpse into the sacredness of Jewish scripture tradition while viewing Bushnell's beautiful, preserved Torah scroll, estimated to be over 175 years old! As part of Bushnell's preserved rare Bible collection, the scroll represents a tangible link between the Jewish roots in the Old Testament and our Christian faith.

  • Meet this week’s student spotlight, Noah Mancione! 💡 Noah is a sophomore from Hillsboro, Oregon who majors in exercise science. He is currently involved in the track and cross country teams, works with groundskeeping, and plays piano for the worship teams.

Noah’s advice to students who are struggling in balancing school, work, and social life is to find an outlet for when you need a mental break, “The most important thing for me has been finding outlets. Anytime school gets challenging, I’ll go play the piano or run with a friend.”

Noah plans to attend the mission trip this summer to Cambodia where he and other fellow Bushnell students will be working with organizations in the area to help prevent sex trafficking and work with the affected children caught in the conflict. He is excited to learn more about the culture and history of the country during his time there.

  • As Bushnell commemorated Black History Month, this week's God's Global Story event with Dr. Vince Bantu was inspiring and challenging. He reminded us God's story is, and always has been global, one that is connected to a multitude of all peoples.

Some takeaways from those who participated:
-- Helping us find confidence in navigating conversations on diversity and race
-- Unity in Christ through robust scholarship and biblical truth
-- Transformational understanding of Christian history, challenging biases, and recognizing influential figures often overlooked
-- Appreciation for God's global church and diverse contributions often overlooked in Western education

Dr. Bantu's visit was part of the ongoing conversation begun this last November called Becoming Beloved Community, which is Bushnell University's initiative exploring biblical perspectives on racial reconciliation and the unity found in faith. Recordings of the event will be made available at bushnell.edu/belovedcommunity.

Meet this week’s student spotlight, Noah Mancione!

As Bushnell commemorated Black History Month, this week's God's Global Story event with Dr.
