Bushnell University is committed to safeguarding the health and safety of our campus community. Our COVID-19 Task Force continues to review and monitor recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Oregon Health Authority, Lane County Public Health, and the Higher Education Coordinating Commission. We continue to move forward as a campus with an abundance of caution to keep our campus community healthy and safe during this time.

The following will provide specific answers to questions you might have regarding our campus being ‘physically open’ and provide you with an outline of precautionary measures we have taken/are taking to limit our campus community’s exposure to COVID-19.

IS BUSHNELL UNIVERSITY ‘PHYSICALLY OPEN’ FOR CLASSES?

Yes. Classes are meeting physically and are running as scheduled. Semester classes are running in their 16-week format and term classes are running in their 8-week online format. Online undergraduate and graduate classes are occurring in their normal 16-week and 8-week formats.

WILL FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES BE AVAILABLE FOR REMOTE/ONLINE?

No. Only classes that are designed and delivered as online classes will be available for remote learning.

how much will it cost?

Bushnell University online classes are among some of the most affordable in the state. Earning scholarships, grants and other aid can also help you lower your costs. Each student will be assigned a financial aid counselor who will work with the student to assist in the financial aid process. Students must be registered for at least 6 credits in a semester to qualify for federal financial aid.

WILL I BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK WHEN ATTENDING IN-PERSON CLASSES?

No. As of March 12, 2022, masks and social distancing are no longer required in classroom settings. However, those who choose to wear masks, for whatever reason, are free to do so. Instructors and students are asked to respect individual decisions and preferences.

ARE BUSHNELL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, FAC ULTY, STAFF AND VISITORS REQUIRED TO GET VACCINATED?

No, but vaccination is highly recommended.

HIGHER EDUCATION EMERGENCY RELIEF FUNDING (HEERF)

As provided for by the Department of Education (DOE) as a provision of the CARES/CRRSAA/ARP Acts, Bushnell University has received HEERF funds and distributed those funds directly to students to assist them with emergency financial relief related to the coronavirus pandemic. These grants are intended to be used by students for food, housing, course materials, technology, transportation, health care, and childcare. Learn more about HEERF.
