Accepted CREDIT
cOLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES
Transferable courses must be at the 100-level (or above), taken at a regionally accredited college (up to 30 transfer credits from a nationally accredited college will be accepted) and with a grade of C- or higher.
PRIOR LEARNING ASSESSMENT
Bushnell University’s Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) program gives students the opportunity to earn up to 30 college credits by leveraging knowledge gained through work or life experiences, allowing them to save both time and tuition. Whether you’ve developed skills in the workplace or through personal achievements, PLA can help you skip redundant coursework and accelerate your path to a degree. MILITARY TRAINING
Based on your military experiences and training, you may have college credit recommendations to apply toward a degree requirement or program of study. The first step in the process is to request a copy of your military transcript. For more information on requesting military transcripts, visit our veteran benefits page.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY STANDARDS AND TRAINING (dPSST)
Students who have received training through Oregon’s Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) may be eligible to receive college credit. There is no set maximum on the amount of credit accepted, but all accepted credits must fulfill graduation requirements. DPSST training records should be sent to an enrollment advisor for evaluation.
AP CREDITS
Bushnell awards credit for scores of three or higher on College Board Advanced Placement (AP) exams.
CLEP EXAMS
Bushnell awards credit CLEP examinations. CLEP (the College-Level Examination Program®) offers 34 exams that cover intro-level college course material. With a passing score on one CLEP exam, you could earn three or more semester credits.
IB CREDITS
Bushnell awards credit for courses taken through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. See a list of qualifying IB scores and equivalencies.
RECOGNIZED CERTIFICATIONS
You can earn college credit through recognized certifications, professional licenses you’ve earned, or other workplace training that have been reviewed and approved by the American Council on Education (ACE). Students must submit an official ACE transcript in order to earn credit.
