We can answer your frequently asked questions about transferring to Bushnell and help you get started on the path to completing your degree. Please refer to our FAQ section below.
Who is considered a transfer student?
If you have taken any college coursework after high school (or after a high school equivalency exam), you are considered a transfer student.
How many credits can transfer to bushnell university?
We offer generous transfer credit policies where students can transfer up to 94 semester credits toward a bachelor’s degree. An official transcript evaluation is completed for each student as part of the application process. You’ll receive your official transcript evaluation upon acceptance to the university.
are there specific requirements for transfer credits to be accepted?
Transferable courses must be at the 100-level (or above), taken at a regionally accredited college (up to 30 transfer credits from a nationally accredited college will be accepted) and with a grade of C- or higher.
what is the difference between a semester credit and a quarter credit?
Quarter credits and semester credits are two ways of classroom hours. While they are different numbers, they measure the same.
A school on the quarter system (state universities and community colleges in Oregon) divides the academic year into four sessions: fall, winter, spring, and summer. Each session is approximately 10 weeks long.
A school on the semester system divides the academic year into three sessions: fall, spring and summer. Each session is approximately 15-16 weeks long.
Bushnell University uses a semester system. When your transcripts are evaluated, if you have quarter credits, they will be converted to semester credits. This is how the conversion works:
1 Quarter Credits = 0.67 Semester Credits
2 Quarter Credits = 1.33 Semester Credits
3 Quarter Credits = 2 Semester Credits
4 Quarter Credits = 2.67 Semester Credits
