EUGENE, Ore. – Bushnell University Athletics is partnering with Grace Community Fellowship, which will see a new three-court Beach Volleyball facility as Grace becomes the new official home for Bushnell Beach Volleyball.
The facility, which will be ready in time for the start of the 2024 season, provides a marked advancement for the Beacons who have practiced and played their previous two seasons at the two-court facility at Amazon Park.
Athletic Director Corey Anderson said, “We are excited and blessed to have this relationship with Grace Community Fellowship in order to move this project forward. While there is still a lot of work to be done, this facility will be a perfect fit for our beach program along with providing Grace and the local beach volleyball community a great opportunity to play.”
Bushnell Beach Volleyball Head Coach Kim Elgarico added, “We are all so excited and thankful to have a place to call home. We can’t wait to host events this spring and to compete for Bushnell and the Beacon community.”
Located at 989 Country Club Road in Eugene, the new facility on the property of Grace Community Fellowship is located just three miles from the Bushnell campus.
The Beacons are scheduled to play their first home game at the GCF Courts on March 10 when they play host to the University of Portland at 2:00 pm. Bushnell will also host a Cascade Collegiate Conference round-robin event on April 5.
