How to Apply
The easiest and quickest way to apply is to fill out the online application using the buttons below. You can also apply using the Common Application.
Once you initiate your graduate application, each program requires additional information from students. The online application portal will provide you with all required materials such as resume, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, and whether an interview is required or not. An admissions counselor will assist you in these steps.
International applicants must provide official transcripts from each secondary and post-secondary school attended. If you attended a foreign school you must submit your foreign coursework to a NACES approved credentialing service for a course-by-course US equivalency report. This report should then be sent directly to Bushnell from the credentialing service. This evaluation will take approximately two to four weeks so please plan accordingly. Do not send foreign transcripts to Bushnell, including those printed in English or translated into English; they will be discarded.
NOTE: All student-athletes must have foreign transcripts evaluated by InCred in order to be approved for athletic eligibility within the NAIA (National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics).
Applicants applying from non-English speaking countries must demonstrate English proficiency in order to ensure a successful experience at Bushnell. Undergraduate students may meet this requirement by submitting official test scores from TOEFL, IELTS, ACT, or SAT. The score should be sent directly from the testing agency to Bushnell – a photocopy is not acceptable for admission.
English proficiency can be demonstrated in one of the following ways:
- TOEFL score of 173 or higher (Computer-based)
- TOEFL score of 550 or higher (Paper-based)
- TOEFL score of 80 or higher (Internet-based)
- ACT Composite score of 19 or higher
- SAT Composite score of 900 or higher
- IELTS score of 6.0 or higher
Though an admission decision can be provided before financial documents are submitted, international students must submit proof of financial support before an I-20 will be issued. International students must demonstrate they have sufficient funds to pay tuition costs and living expenses while at Bushnell University. Documentation verifying the applicant’s ability to meet financial obligations (tuition, fees, books, room and board, personal expenses and health insurance) for the first year is required by the US Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services. Applicants must provide officially issued bank statements showing their ability to afford tuition and fess here at Bushnell. Please make sure statements are recent. Statements more than six months old are not acceptable.
No U.S. government aid is available to international students, including student loans. However, applicants may qualify for Bushnell international and athletic scholarships. We do not offer full scholarships. These scholarships are only partial awards and will not cover the entire cost of an education at Bushnell. You will be responsible for any remaining tuition, fees, room and board, textbooks, and miscellaneous expenses. Please contact the Office of Admissions for details about the applicable scholarships.
