Start a New Chapter

Transferring to Bushnell? It’s simple — our staff will partner with you every step of the way.

Am I a transfer student?

  • Have you graduated from high school?
  • Have you attended a college/university after high school graduation?

If you’ve answered yes to those two questions, you’re a transfer student.

College credit earned while in high school (e.g., Running Start, College in the High School, etc.) does not place you in the “transfer student” category. If you’re not a transfer student, you will apply as a first year student. But even as a first year, you may still be able to bring in college credit to Bushnell.

One of my worries of transferring was that I might struggle to connect with people who had already known each other for a year, but between campus activities, chapels, and nights studying with other students, it was clear that worry was misguided as I’ll soon be graduating alongside some of my closest friends. Bushnell was very different from the university that I had previously attended, and I know that a lot of my academic success was due to Bushnell and the opportunities that transferring here provided to me.
