As Vice President for University Advancement, Keith Potter advances the University’s mission through crucial relationships—with alumni, donors, churches and the neighboring community.
“I grow the University by contributing to our vision and by inspiring our team to build partnerships with people who can give to help our vision come true.”
Along with the President and Advancement team, Keith drives the Venture Forward campaign to expand the scope and quality of our campus, as well as curricular and co-curricular programs. He gives oversight to the fund-raising effort for the Beacon Fund, endowed scholarships, estate planning, and other efforts at making the Beacon experience more affordable, accessible, and transformative.
The Center for Leadership and Ethics, under Keith’s direction, creates relationships between community leaders and Bushnell students and provides forums to address relevant leadership topics of our day. The Center also presents Beacon Awards to worthy individuals and businesses in the Eugene area who exhibit exemplary ethical leadership.
Keith has taught Bible and Leadership Strategies at the University, after serving as a speaker, author, and lead pastor of three California churches. He is a frequent lecturer at institutes, camps, conferences, and campuses, as well as providing teaching, coaching, and transitional leadership for churches.
Keith and Sue (Wright ’84) Potter have three children, one son-in-law and four grandchildren.
