Michael serves as Bushnell’s chief enrollment officer and support to the Office of the President and President’s Council in efforts related to the Strategic Plan. He provides leadership to the Division of Enrollment including Admission, Academic Advising, Marketing and Digital Communication.
With a passion for Christ-centered education, his professional experience includes 30+ years in higher education related to the fields of enrollment and student development including vice president-level leadership and experience in supervision of professional staff, strategic planning, enrollment management, admission, academic advising, marketing, website/social media, registrar, athletics, admission, campus ministry, career development, community service, financial aid, residence life, student programs, student government advisement, student orientation, problem solving, and leadership development. Michael’s professional roles have included serving at Bushnell as the Vice President for Enrollment & Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Planning (since 2022) and Vice President for Enrollment & Student Development (1995-2022); at California Lutheran University as the Associate Dean of Students (2000-2005), Director of Student Programs (1997-2000), Coordinator for Student Activities and Area Residence Coordinator (1994-1997); and a myriad of other roles and accomplishments including guiding Bushnell’s efforts towards multiple years of overall record enrollment and record enrollment by student segment, Co-Chair of the “University Name Change Task Force”, facilitating efforts related to the development of the athletic program including membership in the NAIA and Cascade Collegiate Conference, serving as an Instructor/Workshop Leader/Speaker on a variety of topics including Leadership and the Freshman Year Experience, chairing the COVID-19 Task Force, serving as a chair and/or committee member of multiple task forces related to building and renovation projects, and serving as an Elder at Grace Community Fellowship.
He graduated with a B.A. in History and Minor in Political Science from Pacific Lutheran University and holds his M.S. in Counseling and Guidance with a specialization in College Student Personnel from California Lutheran University.
Michael is married to Erin Fuller, who serves as a Kindergarten Teacher at Adams Elementary School. Together they are the very proud parents of daughter Madison who is currently a college student, son Zach Fuller who is a Bushnell Alum, and daughter-in-law Abby.
