Types of Accepted Credit
If you are transferring to Bushnell, learn more about the types of credit we accept.
College and University Credit
Transferrable courses must be at the 100-level or above, taken at a regionally accredited college (up to 30 transfer credits from a non-regionally accredited college may be accepted), and completed with a grade of C- or higher.
Prior Learning Assessment
Bushnell University’s Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) program gives students the opportunity to earn up to 30 college credits by leveraging knowledge gained through work or life experiences, allowing them to save both time and tuition. Whether you’ve developed skills in the workplace or through personal achievements, PLA can help you skip redundant coursework and accelerate your path to a degree. To learn more, visit our PLA Program page.
Military Training
Based on your military experiences and training, you may have college credit recommendations to apply toward a degree requirement or program of study. The first step in the process is to request a copy of your military transcript. For more information on requesting military transcripts, visit our veteran benefits page.
Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST)
Students who have received training through Oregon’s Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) may be eligible to receive college credit. There is no set maximum on the amount of credit accepted, but all accepted credits must fulfill graduation requirements. DPSST training records should be sent to an enrollment advisor for evaluation.
