About Joseph D.
Dr. Joseph D. Womack has served as president of Bushnell University since June 2010. Under his leadership, the University has strengthened its educational mission and Christian identity and experienced significant growth and transformation.
Dr. Womack has helped guide Bushnell’s continued development as a Christ-centered university committed to preparing students for lives of purpose and service. His leadership emphasizes holistic education, integrating academic and professional preparation with spiritual growth, leadership development, and faithful stewardship.
Over the last 16 years Bushnell has expanded its undergraduate and graduate offerings, strengthened co-curricular opportunities, invested in major campus improvements, and increased its reach throughout the Eugene-Springfield community and beyond. Dr. Womack has also contributed to higher education and intercollegiate athletics through service with statewide and national organizations. His presidency continues to reflect a commitment to Bushnell’s mission, its students, its community, and the University’s long-term future moving forward.
