Beacons Celebrate 20th Annual Iggy Awards

EUGENE, Ore.  – The 2026 Iggy Awards took place on Wednesday night as the Bushnell Athletic department honored the best of the best achievements of their 17 teams and 320 student-athletes. It was a special formal event, celebrating 20 years of the Iggy Awards, and 20 years for Bushnell as members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

Award Winners included:

Perseverance Award: Henry Ngang, Men’s Soccer

Legacy Award: Laci Jespersen, Beach Volleyball
Legacy Award: Kai Keamo, Baseball

Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Leah Agost, Volleyball
Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Ana Augusto, Women’s Soccer
Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Squeeky Johnson, Men’s Basketball
Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Caleb Premo, Men’s Soccer

Impact Award: Hannah Brunston, Beacon & Indoor Volleyball
Impact Award: Blake Stavros, Baseball
Impact Award: Brett Olmstead, Men’s Track & Field

Male Champion of Character Award: Ty Kishen, Men’s Track & Field
Female Champion of Character Award: Jada Richwine, Women’s Golf

Male Athlete of the Year: Omar Barajas, Men’s Soccer
Male Athlete of the Year: Albert Jennings, Baseball
Female Athlete of the Year: Hailey Heider-Hughes, Volleyball

Dr. Heike McNeil Cup (Team of the Year): Volleyball

Additionally, Bushnell’s Chi Alpha Sigma Inductees were announced. These athletes earned at least a 3.8 cumulative GPA and have been members of the Bushnell athletics program for at least three years. Inducted this year were Leah Agost (Volleyball), Shane Becker (Men’s Soccer), Jacob Courtney (Baseball), Montanah Love (Softball), Lorelai Murphy (Women’s Soccer), Kate Palelek (Beach Volleyball), Sayer Pescosolido (Men’s Cross Country/Track & Field), Caleb Premo (Men’s Soccer), Walter Reustle (Men’s Soccer), Caleb Richter (Baseball), Blake Stavros (Baseball), and Ty Weiskind (Baseball).
