Beacon gear can be purchased through our Bushnell Beanery on campus, at many home games, or through our online store, which you can access at Sideline.bsnsports.com.

Career Development provides individualized career coaching, giving students a safe space to decide on a major, explore career pathways, develop a concrete plan of action, craft a well-written resume and cover letter, and practice interviewing skills. The office also hosts monthly career workshops and coordinates annual signature events such as Networking 101 and Mock Interview Day.

Students receive small group sign-up forms during move-in at the beginning of the academic year. While this is the ideal time to join a group, students are encouraged to connect with a small group at any point during the year.

Students can request in-house tutoring by emailing tutor@bushnell.edu or calling 541-684-7278. The Tutor Coordinator will connect them with the appropriate tutor or schedule an appointment. Students also have access to Smarthinking, a third-party tutoring service available through their BeaconLearning account, with training provided during new student orientation.

The Campus Pastor, Coordinator for Campus Ministry, faculty, and staff members are available to meet with, pray with, and support students. Students are also encouraged to connect with their Resident Assistant (RA) or small group leader for additional encouragement and guidance.

Yes. Chapel is considered a course and appears on students’ transcripts. While students are encouraged to grow in their spiritual development, no student is required to participate in activities such as singing or prayer if doing so would conflict with their personal beliefs.

A qualified disability must be documented by an appropriate professional. Depending on the nature of the disability, accommodations may include extended testing time, distraction-reduced testing environments, audiobooks, closed captioning, and other individualized academic supports.

The fastest way to receive technical support is by submitting a Help Ticket through My.Bushnell or by contacting the Help Desk at 541-684-7272.

Bushnell requires students to live on campus during their first three years unless they receive approval from the Office of Residence Life to live off campus. Automatic exemptions include students who are 21 or older by September 1 of the academic year, are married, have a dependent, or commute from the home of a parent or legal guardian.

Bushnell is conveniently located within walking distance of Eugene Urgent Care, providing students with easy access to medical services when needed.

Students may sign up through the Office of Student Life at the beginning of each semester. The current cost is $150 per semester.

Payments can be made by mailing a check, visiting the Business Office (cash, check, money order, cashier’s check, or debit card), or paying online at bushnell.edu/paymybill using a checking or savings account (no fee) or a debit/credit card (additional fee). Payment plans are available in 9- and 10-month options for a $100 setup fee. Contact the Business Office for additional details.

We understand that your family’s financial circumstances may have changed since the tax year used for your FAFSA. If your financial situation has changed, submit a Special Circumstances Request Form, available at bushnell.edu/forms. Our Financial Aid Office will review your situation to determine whether your student may qualify for additional need-based aid.

Several financing options are available. Families are encouraged to apply for a Federal Parent PLUS Loan, which may also make the student eligible for additional Direct Loan funding if the application is denied. If you’re unable to apply due to bankruptcy or other restrictions, or if repayment would create a financial hardship, please contact the Financial Aid Office for assistance. Private education loans are also available through many lenders. We recommend starting with your current bank or credit union, or comparing options through finaid.org.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that protects students’ educational records and personally identifiable information while ensuring students have access to their own records. Once a student enrolls in a college or university, FERPA rights transfer from the parent or guardian to the student.

University officials cannot discuss a student’s educational records protected under FERPA without the student’s written permission. We encourage students to maintain open communication with their parents or guardians regarding their academic progress.

The most common way is for your student to complete and sign a FERPA release form authorizing Bushnell to share information with you. The form is available through the student’s My.Bushnell portal.
