The Mathematics degree program at Bushnell University explores the beauty, structure, and logic of mathematics as it appears across cultures, throughout history, and in the natural laws that govern the world. You will engage in coursework in calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, statistics, discrete mathematics, and mathematical reasoning, strengthening both theoretical understanding and applied analytical skills.

How the Curriculum is Structured

The Mathematics curriculum combines foundational coursework with advanced study in mathematical theory, quantitative reasoning, and applied problem solving. You’ll build expertise in calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, statistics, discrete mathematics, and mathematical proof while strengthening your analytical and communication skills.

You’ll also explore mathematical questions connected to your interests and career goals through projects in areas such as economics, public policy, mathematical biology, epidemiology, and data analytics. A senior capstone project allows you to investigate a topic of interest while demonstrating the research, problem-solving, and communication skills valued by employers and graduate programs.

Internship Experience

Mathematics students gain hands-on experience through internships, research opportunities, tutoring, and applied projects that connect classroom learning to real-world challenges.
