Curriculum 

Our Finance concentration is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for success in the financial sector. This program prepares students to:

  • Acquire expertise in financial accounting, risk analysis, compliance, and business environments to prepare you for a wide range of finance roles
  • Develop and apply practical skills in financial strategy, budgeting, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking
  • Advance your understanding of ethical leadership, grounded in Christian values, and its role in addressing complex financial issues and decision-making
  • Develop literacy regarding recent trends in finance and accounting through leading business information sources, current publications, and a variety of multimedia resources
  • Demonstrate your understanding of the finance profession through a Capstone project, internships, or other practical experiences, enhancing your resume and preparing you for a successful career in finance

MBA in Finance Courses

The Finance Concentration requires 36 credits, encompassing 12 courses, and can be completed in 24 months.

In addition to core courses in the MBA program, the Finance Concentration with offers the following classes:

  • Managerial Finance

  • Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management

Prerequisites to the Finance Concentration

  • Intermediate Accounting I and II or Managerial Finance (or equivalent)

Program Admissions (GMAT Not Required)

To complete your application for the online MBA in Management and Leadership program, please include the following:

  • Free application for admission.
  • Official transcript reflecting a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university (with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade-point average) and transcripts for any subsequent academic work.
  • A 500-word Statement of Purpose showcasing written communication skills and addressing how the program aligns with your personal and professional goals.
  • Up-to-date resume.

 Additional Admissions Considerations

Bushnell University takes a holistic approach to admissions, considering academic progress, work experience and personal achievements. 

Applicants not meeting grade-point average requirements may apply for conditional admission, providing a one-page description of their academic history and plans for success at the graduate level.
